AbstractIn this study the Deep Penetration Test is understood to be a quasi-static penetration test perfomed by pushing a cylindrical rod slowly into the soil while its base resistance is continuously recorded. This study of the static deep penetration test has furnished experimental information necessary for evaluating the results of such tests performed in typical sensitive clays.
