AbstractA bathythermograph which automatically measures and plots temperature against depth in lakes or coastal waters is described. The temperature range is from -5°C to +35°C with ±0.1&#0176C accuracy. The depth range is from 0 to 1000 feet with ±1% accuracy. Information from the probe is transmitted to the surface through an insulated single-conductor cable.
