AbstractThe Mark XI Project, initiated in 1977, has been a cooperative venture between the Housing and Urban Development Association of Canada (HUDAC) and DBR. This note presents a summary of the available information from the studies conducted by DBR. These include a comparison of the thermal perfomance of standard and upgraded houses, a study of the thermal performance of an upgraded wall, basement heat loss, moisture and air leakage studies, evaluations of air-source heat pump, solar and natural gas heating systems, an assessment of mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, and an analysis of wind and pressure effects. References to studies conducted by other agencies are provided.
