AbstractChanges in the protein backbone conformation and the microenvironment of some amino acids -- induced by point mutations in bacterial adenylate kinases -- were investigated by IR difference spectroscopy in conjunction with temperature and hydrogen-deuterium exchange measurements also monitored by IR.
