AbstractMeasurements of the weak one-magnon light scattering in the antiferromagnet MnF2, including Stokes and anti-Stokes scattering, as a function of temperature are reported. From the theoretical analysis of the temperature and polarization dependences of the integrated Raman intensities, values are deduced for the ratio of quadratic and linear magneto-optical coupling coefficients.
