SubjectCISTI
AbstractCISTI, the Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information, is a division of the National Research Council of Canada. Our formal mandate is "to promote and provide for the use of scientific and technical information by the government and people of Canada for the purposes of economic, regional and social development." This means in essence first, to maintain a national resource of scientific and technical information, and second, to provide services which enable Canadians to use that resource. I will divide my talk into two major parts: first, the collection itself; and second, the services provided to make this collection available to Canadians.
