AbstractA study was made of the use of sliding formwork or "slip-form" in civil engineering construction. Since the method has now been used in Europe as an aide to the reduction of house costs, by application to the construction of large reinforced concrete residential buildings, the method is attaining an importance far beyond that given by its normal use for the construction of structures such as grain elevators.
