AbstractThe Special Interest Group on Dynamic Evaluation of Roofing Systems (SIGDERS) undertakes research to advance the performance of commercial roofs. Initial research resulted in the development of the National Dynamic Wind Uplift Standard and the publication of A Guide for Wind Design of Mechanically Attached Roof Assemblies. The objectives for the next stage of research are: Objective 1: Field monitoring of the wind performance of roofs; Objective 2: Air intrusion quantification of mechanically-attached roofing assemblies; and Objective 3: Update CSA A123.21-04 Standard to include wind uplift resistance evaluation of fully-bonded systems.
