AbstractThis paper describes the results of experiments carried out using the CPF Hydroelastic Model to determine the distribution of lateral forces and moments on a Warship Hull Form with the objective of eventually modeling these components in a numerical manoeuvring simulation, a description of the physical model design, instrumentation, data collected and analysis procedure is included. Representative results illustrating the distribution of lateral force for a number of conditions are provided along with some observations on their potential for modeling the manoeuvring behaviour of long sender vessels.
