AbstractThe photoreduction of benzophenone by 1,4-cyclohexadiene has been examined in sodium dodecyl sulfate micelles. The triplet radical pair undergoes intersystem crossing with kISC = 5.8 × 106 s−1 at zero magnetic field; under these conditions 43% of the radical pairs separate via micellar exit processes.
